  1. Same to you, MD. Remember, austerity is the key:)

  2. Karen says:

All the best Mad Dog! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and may the new year bring you lots of happiness.

  3. Igualmente and do hope you venture out of the shed to baste the goose πŸ˜‰

    • Mad Dog says:

      Thanks Tanya.
I cycled down to the St. John for bread in the gales this morning and then on to Neal’s Yard for the amazing cheese. The Cheese queue was 50 minutes, but worth it πŸ˜‰

      • Oh wow – but as you say, worth it! Did you buy Stinking Bishop – I once flew to Inverness for Hogmanay with four friends plus two old lady relatives of theirs, a West Highland Terrier and a selection of cheese from Neal’s Yard (bear with me, there is a point to this) one of which was Stinking Bishop. We had a 21 hour delay involving snow, airport hotels, shuttle buses, smuggling the dog into hotel rooms and all the time this cheese was getting riper and riper. Have to say it tasted wonderful when we eventually got there (just in time!) but oh my god, our fellow travellers were not impressed with the assortment of smells we trailed along with us πŸ˜‰

OMG! I think I tasted everything in the shop, but bought Montgomery (my favourite), Colston Bassett, Waterloo and Ragstone. Even when there’s a 50 minute queue you get the full tasting and special service πŸ™‚

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas too! Have had more pheasant turn up so looking forward to trying your curry.

    • Mad Dog says:

Thanks Andrea – season’s greetings to you too.
I hope you enjoy the curry. Any type of curry would work – pheasant flavour stands up to lots of spices. You’ve just reminded me I bought a pheasant yesterday and stuffed it into the freezer. I had such a busy two days I’d completely forgotten πŸ˜‰

  5. Eha says:

The very best wishes for days of fun and satisfaction with nearest and dearest . . . and may the year to come be in all ways ‘satisfactory’ πŸ™‚ ! Thank you for all the posts so enjoyed . . .

    • Eha says:

Mad? Are you going back to 1939? ‘Cause one of the most deligthfully elegant ‘Victorian’ advertisements from a couple of years back for the state of Victoria here surely begins ‘Run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run . . ‘ . . . Your title has been ‘driving me crazy all day πŸ˜€ !!!! Huge laughter . . . .!!

      • Mad Dog says:

Many thanks Eha. I was thinking of the Chuck Berry song, covered by Keith Richards and a few others. Compliments of the season to you and your family πŸ™‚

        • Eha says:

Actually just me, but the good wishes accepted with a smile!!

          • Eha says:

Oh, just looked it up for Yule ~ Noel Gay in ‘The little dog laughed’ 1939!! Just a tad ere Chuck Berry and Keith Richards!! Ain’t it wonderful what one does find on Mr Google πŸ˜‰ ! And ours [the ad] was ‘classy’ AND ‘sexy’ . . . [b/w of course πŸ™‚ !]

  6. Michelle says:
